How to Write Essays on Cause and Effect

How to Write Essays on Cause and EffectIf you've ever tried to write an essay on subjects such as the nature of money, the stock market, or religion, you'll know that they are notoriously difficult topics to write about. They're all very well on paper, but when you try to use them in your essay it will take you forever. That's because you're trying to explain a relationship that can be too complicated for an essay to be able to explain well. Let's look at some easy cause and effect essay topics which could solve this problem. When you are trying to explain a complex topic, there is always a temptation to give it in simple terms. You have to be careful though. It doesn't matter how much effort you put into your explanation, if your reader can't follow it then you won't get very far. Try something like: 'The stock market crash of October 1987 has been blamed on over-investment by some business people in the stock market. However, there was an unintended consequence to this.Since the eco nomy was so badly affected by the market crash, a number of companies, including McDonald's, IBM, and General Motors had to be put up for sale. This was also one of the reasons why many high profile executives were recently forced to resign, with a number of high profile businessmen claiming they have been 'black-listed' by the corporations they worked for.'To make this easier to understand, I have used the two terms 'over-investment'misplaced blame' as they are easily understood and you can easily adapt the use of the terms, once you know what they mean. There are several different essay topics on these subjects, so experiment with them until you find one that you are happy with.Another easy cause and effect essay topics are life events in life. I am not talking about something completely unexpected like a death or serious illness here. We can discuss a situation where something bad has happened, but you still have to survive or cope with the situation before you can move on. For e xample, think of someone who has recently lost their job and is trying to live from hand to mouth. This is not meant to scare you but to illustrate a simple situation that can happen in anyone's life. You can also use examples like these to demonstrate how they affect other people. An example would be: 'For a time following the global financial crisis, Sarah needed her support group more than ever. However, after some time, she realized she was beginning to give more importance to her job than her other relationships and because of this, she made some personal choices that had a serious impact on the other members of her support group.'The next time you have an essay on life events in your life, try looking for a good cause and effect essay topic. If you have trouble coming up with one yourself, try searching online and see what you can come up with. It's an easy way to keep writing and so much more fun!
